May 25th 2008 sees us leaving the Solent and heading down to Plymouth from where we will leave on the Rally Portugal heading down to the Med on the Rally Portugal.

We are currently thinking about sailing across the Med to Greece (Ionian) and visting a few of our old haunts. Come October 2008 we will be looking to lay Serafina up for the winter and fly home.

April 2009 we will fly back out and continue cruising in the Med. One of the options is to join the Blue Water Round the World Rally (2009 - 2011) leaving from Gibraltar in October 2009. However, having met a number of people who have been involved in this rally as well as having read a few of the blogs on the current rally, we are begining to think that we would be happier making our own way, taking the time to enjoy the places we visit rather than rushing ever onwards! We have the time to do this and it may be a good deal more enjoyable.

In this case we would still spend at least two summers in the Med and then look to cross the Atlantic to spend a few seasons in the Caribbean.
