Free Listings on the Search Engines
Free Listings are the main bulk of what is displayed when you type an enquiry into the search engine. Clearly the aim is to get your site in the first 10 that are shown. At a pinch you can survive being in the top 30, but beyond that is dead ground!
In truth, this is both the most important and yet the hardest part of promoting your web site.
However, if you have invested in having a wonderful web site built, to ignore search engine optimisation is akin to printing a brochure and locking all the copies in your attic!
The Search Engines are the life blood of the web and so it is vital to take time to understand how they work and what it is they are trying to achieve.

Our PPC campaigns rarely feature less than 600 phrases and careful conversion tracking over time shows us which ones are the top performers. Only then can you optimise your site for the Free listings. Being on the first page for a couple of key phrases simply doesn't cut it any more.
